Oxford United right back Damian Batt has been named in the PFA League Two team of the year.

The defender beat off stiff competition to claim his place in the side and said: “I am very pleased to be given such a prestigious award.  It is something that I am very proud off.  I have been very happy with how I have played all season and I’m proud with the performances I have put in.”

Batt has made 26 appearances in League Two for United after missing most of the start of the season due to injury.  He added: “Being that I was out for about 15 games or so it shows that this season has been down to the whole team. The team have been great and all round we have shown what we can do, but we know we can get better.”
